The fully automatic EFOY Comfort 140i supplies the on-board battery bank with up to 140Ah per day.
The integrated charge controller permanently monitors the charge level of the 12V battery. This battery starts automatically and switches off again once is charged.
The EFOY Comfort 140i
Is suited for battery banks between 80 and 250 Ah in size and is EFOY’s most popular size.
The EFOY Comfort 140i is optimized to operate less than 120 days per year, typically during the spring, summer and autumn months.
It meets the typical energy needs of an Inverter <1000 W, lights, TV, chargers, and possibly a coffee machine or hairdryer.

The EFOY Comfort 140i
produces electricity using the fuel in the fuel cartridge, adding oxygen from the air.

At the heart of every EFOY fuel cell is the Stack. A Stack actually consists of several cells: an anode, a cathode, and a membrane that acts as an electrolyte, separating the anode and the cathode from each other.
Positively charged electrical particles (protons) can permeate the membrane.
Methanol and water are introduced on the anode side while ambient oxygen enters the cathode side. H+ ions, free electrons and carbon dioxide arise on the anode side.
The protons can permeate the membrane while the electrons have to travel an electrical circuit over to the cathode side, thereby producing an electrical current. H+ ions and water vapour arise on the cathode side, making EFOY fuel cells an extremely environmentally friendly way to generate electricity.
